SHORT STORY ELEMENTS WORKSHEET - Fill in the following as appropriate:
SETTING –
a) Place – The world, Universe
b) Time – Year 2306
c) Weather conditions – rainy, dark, thunder, tornado
d) Social conditions – Disparity of wealth, many wealthy migrate to universe

PLOT -
a) Introduction –the world is very dangerous, people hope to leave, but many people are poor.
b) Rising Action – a family wants to leave, lives in universe, but they are poor. They decide to earn money by pole dancing. They dance well and become famous, some wealthy give them a lot of money to invite them dancing.
c) Climax – they save enough money to leave. They dance in the world last time, and give some money to the poor, encourage them never give up. This action is touching the others, the wealthy start to help poor to leave from the earth.
d) Falling action – more and more people are helped by the others. Now they know love and help each other is very important. They begin to build up a ‘universe village’.
e) Denouement – A new world is built by people, they have hope and love again.

One possible theme of this story
Is love and hope always on people heart. They never disappear.
The reason is because: Although in the beginning of this story, wealthy don’t want to share their money and love to help others, it is because they are scared, they don’t know what will happen if they do it. After the family helps the other, they know it is no problem, so they can assist the poor too. It proves that everyone is able to help and share their love to the others.

1. Describing the birds’ personality ( noisy and impatient ) and stay on a wire.
2. Another bird appears. The small birds think it’s ugly and tries to make fun of it. Big bird wants to be friends with them, but small birds get away from it.
3. Big bird moves in middle of the wire. Because of its weight, the small birds become close to it. Small birds bully it and want it to leave.
4. They want to make it fall on the floor, but one of them finds that the weight of big bird makes the wire bending. Big bird will fall on the floor safely.
5. Big bird drops down safely, but small birds are leapt by the wire.
